Power, water, internet and the rest of the bills

Equatorial (still called CEEE), DMAE, a fibre tech on the stairs, and the condo fee that already bundled half of it.

When you move in, ask what the condo fee already covers. Water is often included; in some buildings, internet can be too.

Power, Equatorial / CEEE

The distributor is Equatorial Energia RS. People still say CEEE. The bill and the online office work under both names. To put the account in your CPF, you need the lease and your documents.

Water, DMAE

DMAE supplies municipal water. The building often charges it through the condo fee.

Gas

Building gas or a bottled cylinder. If it is bottled, you will learn the delivery WhatsApp. Do not let it run out on a Sunday night.

Internet

Fibre is widely available in the city. Expect R$100–R$200 for a plan you can work on. Claro, Vivo, Oi and smaller fibre operators cover the city. Installation needs someone at home.

Mobile

The easiest option is to sign up through Nubank, or walk into a Claro or Vivo shop and take a controle plan. It usually costs R$30–50.

Trash

Porto Alegre separates organic and inorganic waste, and glass. Batteries. Nothing very fancy.
